LatticePower’s automotive LEDs obtained AEC-Q102 certification
LatticePower, a provider of high-power LED products,announced that its four automotive lighting productshave passed the certification of AEC-Q102,which means LatticePower has the ability to provide LED light sourcesmeeting the requirements of Tier1 (Tier1) Automobile electronics Factory for OEM car customers.
To enter the field of OEMautomotive lighting supply chain, two hurdles must be passed. The first hurdle is to meet the ISO/IATF16949 Quality Management System, the supply chain Quality Management standard of the automobile industry. The second hurdle is to pass the AEC-Q102(discrete Photoelectric LED) reliability standard. AEC is the short name of the Automotive Electronics Council, which is established by Chrysler, Ford, GENERAL Motors, etc. Now AEC standard has also become the general standard of Automotive Electronics manufacturers.
In August 2016, LatticePower passed theISO/IATF16949:2016 quality system certification, and has the qualification to manufacture automobile lighting source products. IATF16949 is known as the "high level, authoritative quality management standards ofinternational automotive industry".
Four red and yellow LED products LRA/LYA/LRC/LYC made by LatticePower, have undergone nearly 20 limit tests in SGS, such as high-temperature aging, frequency conversion vibration and mechanical impact, and finally all passed the quality and reliability requirements of AEC-Q102.
